Nebraska Needs Assessment Advisory Council Guidebook: “We are all in this together.”

Lisset Christian, owner of Diana’s Learning Center LC in Omaha, served on Nebraska’s statewide Needs Assessment Advisory Council (NAAC), helping shape and review the data, feedback loops, and language-access strategies that informed the Nebraska Needs Assessment Advisory Council Guidebook, “We are all in this together,” a product of the state’s Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five needs assessment. As one of 35 parents, providers, and data partners from across Nebraska—and one of several Spanish-speaking members—Lisset contributed her on-the-ground expertise as a bilingual family child care provider to ensure the guidebook’s recommendations truly reflect the realities of providers and families in diverse communities.
